Natural Instincts Interior Design http://naturalinstinctsinteriordesign.com Uniquely Creative Solutions from the Inside Out Mon, 18 Feb 2013 12:18:24 +0000 en-US hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.5.1 Challenges & Solutions/Rolling Hair Stations http://naturalinstinctsinteriordesign.com/uncategorized/challanges.htm http://naturalinstinctsinteriordesign.com/uncategorized/challanges.htm#comments Thu, 02 Jun 2011 04:12:59 +0000 natu1446 http://naturalinstinctsinteriordesign.com/?p=287 Interior Designers in today’s marketplace are presented with unique challenges by their clients wanting to be “cutting edge’.  No pun intended by the owner of the Landis Aveda Lifestyle Salons.  He wanted a mobile hair station for the new Salt Lake City Marmalade location.  I collaborated with Timber Mill Custom Cabinetry and 3-form to create rolling hair styling stations.  My design combined laminate, mirror and the Varia Ecoresin product from 3-form.  The result was a rolling station mirrored on one side with storage for the stylists equipment, product and lock out for personal belongings.  Power to each station is supplied by an electrical plug from the top for easy disconnect.  The 3-form Varia sheets of embedded Thatch on the back of the stations create a beautiful backdrop to the retail lobby.  These unique rolling stations of art are easily moved to make way for hair shows and seminars.  3-form + function = solution
